These few months i have been having promblems connecting to some websites, i can only access to the websites using proxy. at first i tought it was Firefox causing these problems,so i switched to Konqueror and Opera, but its still the same. But whenever i use Windows and im using Firefox, i dont seem to have any problem conecting to the websites. And now the problem keeps getting worse. Any help would be great.
noting much, the page keeps loading until it says Net Timeout Error. Im using Gigabyte GA-7N400-L with built in Lan, and im using Adsl internet connection.
When you say that you're only able to connect using a proxy, do you mean a proxy server running on a different computer, or do you mean that you've got squid or something like that running on your own computer, and you need to use that?
Are you able to connect to computers on the internet using different protocols, such as SMTP, POP3, or Telnet?
How are you entering the proxy server? Is it by domain name, or by IP address?
