broken mo2dir please help...

hello all, i broke my mo2dir program upgrading my kernel. im not sure how it happened. i have a hd install of slakware 10.1.0, kernel 2.6.12.2 and have customized and installed a few programs which is why i dont want to reinstall. I've tried to find help about this problem everywhere but there just doesn't seem to be a solution.

after i patched my kernel i lost the orinoco monitor mode patch i had installed using mo2dir. so i tried to install it and i got this error:

mo2dir /orinoco-fix.mo /
mount: unknown filesystem type 'squashfs'
cp: cannot stat `/tmp/mo2dir24091/*': No such file or directory
umount: /tmp/mo2dir24091: not mounted

now when i try and create the directory /tmp/mo2dir24091 and try again i just get another directory which it cannot stat.

anyone have any idea whats going on here? i've created about 40 of the directories it wants to stat and it still goes on. this is the same for any module file i try and install. i can still install stuff other ways but the whole point of a slackware distro is modularity and im missing that feature alot....

if anyone knows how i can re-install the mo2dir program then that would be awesome.

Best,
MaNiaC^.

The only "mo2dir" that I have used is on SLAX. I noticed there is a "mo2dir" executable script in the tool directory of my SLAX CD. Is that what you are looking for? I'm not sure where you get the actual program.

OK I THINK (not certain) the reason for this is some users making modules using squashfs3 and slax being on 2.2 atm

what I cant figure out is the process for upgrading from one to the other and documentation appears limited

Well you can grab the module from the my slax modules page but basically its a script that calls another script liblinuxlive and uses squashfs to install the module
