broken link at slackbuilds.org for java SDK source

the correct link should be
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...s-2133151.html
most likely the slackbuild script will need to be edited to reflect a deterrent source file name (don't know yet)

The page is correct given that your session or cookie (whichever is irrelevant) corresponds to the accepted licence. Pointing to the recommended page has a probability of breaking tools that automate the sbo procedure for the jdk package and assert a hack workaround it as a fix (since a get would succeed on that page and not produce the desired tarball).

Of course not to the latter have a look at the build script.

I got a page telling me that I must accept the terms of use to down load fallowing the link in the slackbuild page
the linux tarball works just fine for the slackbuild just did it and installed the package but the download is not automatic you must click on the I agree button then pick
the linux tarball

Well that procedure is designed by oracle; It shouldnt be automated, openjdk is an alternative of course.

Please keep in mind: while many contributors to Slackbuilds.org happen to visit this site, not all of them do. To properly report something that you deem to be a bug, have a look here: http://slackbuilds.org/bugs/

Another way to report, that doesn't need to be signed up, is to mail the maintainer, whose email address is always on the software's page @ http://docs.slackware.com. Just try another channel if you don't receive a response within a reasonable amount of time.

looks like a good fix haven't tried it

for the next guy

I already have java SDK installed

as I haven't tried this fix maybe you could email it to the maintainer of the java-SDK SlackBuild

I think it's ugly and unmaintainable. Why dont you just use OpenJDK instead of succumbing to these obnoxious Oracle license agreements.
