broadcasting to a Flash server and skype with webcamstudio
 

Dear all,

I'm trying to set up a virtual webcam using webcamstudio in order to use it with skype and chatroulette.
I definitely can't figure how to output webcamstudio data.
Can you please help me in that matter?
I'm running Slackware 14.0 32bit.

From my tests, only the version 0.56 seems working with me. With it I can at least see a preview. The module compiled smoothly and I don't get any error with modprobe, and I get a new /dev/video1 file.
The point is when I try to read /dev/video1 from skype or mplayer it simply does not work.
I got stuck with that!
My google investigation tough me about v4l2loopback and v4lsink but I got pretty much confused.
I also tried out the version 0.60-alpha1, but I can;t even seethe preview.
I can't build the the version 0.61, but it's known to be unstable.
That would be awesome if someone could tell me a to use webcam studio with skype and flash.

it seems nobody has any idea about it.
Before I close this post, I'd like to know if there is an alternative software or way to do what webcamstudio does.
