Brightstar - Brighten your darkstar :)


I have been working on a still very small C application that I just released on Github Brightstar. The README file gives some background and install instruction. It is barebone at this time. It is work in progress. Comments welcome.

Here is some output.
Querying for a package native to Slackware:

xterm (terminal emulator for X)

The xterm program is a terminal emulator for the X Window System.
It provides DEC VT102/VT220 (VTxxx) and Tektronix 4014 compatible
terminals for programs that cannot use the window system directly.

SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to
demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful
editor with facilities for building and running programs.

bind (DNS server and utilities)

The named daemon and support utilities such as dig, host, and
nslookup. Sample configuration files for running a simple caching
nameserver are included. Documentation for advanced name server
