bootup interuppted

I have recently installed slackware 10.2 and went through securing the box with some essentials - stopping services - installing openwall - firewall and a bit more. When I reboot the box the bootup is interuppted to ask me what init level to boot in to. If i enter (3) the box will continue to boot as normal. What did I do to cause the boot up to ask me what init level to boot into instead of just booting normally.

That happens when you have removed or commented the default runlevel in /etc/inittab. Just add it back

/etc/inittab:
Code:
id:3:initdefault:

BTW, I found this some weeks ago. It is a (huge) list of things one can do to improve security of a Slackware (10.2) system:

http://transamrit.net/docs/sysHarden...ening-10.2.txt

It has some nice tips which could be quite hard to come up.
