Bootloader Lilo competing with Grub, Grub wins

I had Ubuntu 7 on first but decided I should go for slack 11.0 saw it running with VMware server and Win XP quite amazing was it's speed. Grub is still in the MBR I need some help to get the right App that will remove it and I am a real newbe so assistance would be great on the install.

2 ways to remove it.

You can download super grub and remove it with that, or wipe the mbr with a windows cd and reinstall lilo.

you can just run lilo ... it will overwrite GRUB ...

Why can't you use grub with Slackware? There should be menu.lst file in /boot. Save and edit it to include Slackware rather than Ubuntu.
