So, I decided to install VirtualBox and then just install XP to a virtual partition. Worked perfectly.

Thanks again for the useful information.

Cool - gald it worked out well. Although I didn't know you could boot to an actual partition of an installed OS it still seems inherently dangerous. One of the advantages of running an OS in a VM is that hard disks are virtual and no damage can be done to the host from writing to that disk. Real disk access negates that facility.
