Booting?
I have 2 hard drives, hda (master) hdb (slave) on the first drive I'm running Fedora 5,and using grub to boot both drives, on the hdb I installed Slackware 10.2. The last distro I used was mepis and it booted from my grub on the Fedora. However now I can't boot Slackware, I like to know the proper configuration in my default /boot/grub/grub.conf file, I have my existing file as such;
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,0)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=0
timeout=5

with the stock 2.4.31 kernel the initrd line is not necessary, and add scsi emulation for an IDE CDrom drive append="hdc=ide-scsi"

And check what your Slackware kernel is actually named in /boot, changing it in the conf file for grub.

Not sure about how to add IDE line? Could you post it?
Thanks
