I searched a bit and didn't find anything. I also don't know what to call it.

Anyway, I don't want the quotes that show up before the prompt in aterm. I don't mind in the pre-X terminal, but I'm picky.

chmod -x /etc/profile.d/bsd-games-login-fortune.sh

and if you ever use csh:

chmod -x /etc/profile.d/bsd-games-login-fortune.csh

It is a part of BSD-Games. You can simply run removepkg bsd-games
taken from
