Boot with CD1, at the "Prompt:" type in the line above it (It tells you how to boot your hard drive), then rerun lilo, or liloconfig may be needed. (If using lilo)

The problem here is that someone uninstalled lilo from your MBR, you have to boot into the rescue console (disk 1) and reinstall the boot loader, it should recognize your operating systems automatically. Im not exactly sure what the commands are, but if you get to the rescue console just type help and it will give you commands for how to reinstall lilo.

If you're wanting to use Lilo this is what I'd try. When you get it booted with the fist Slack disc use liloconfig to (re)install Lilo (I think this is what wpg was suggesting). Or, you could try to edit your /etc/lilo.conf file (after you boot with the CD of course) if you know what you're doing. There are tons of examples here at LQ (and in the Slack forum too)regarding the lilo.conf file. Just make sure you do a /sbin/lilo to see if there are any errors before you try rebooting. Hope that helps a little.
