boot "problem"

When I boot my computer I get some error message about that slack is trying to load some net module.
It is
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/net/8139cp.o
but that isn't my net card my net card is 8139too and it works.
My computer works, but this message when I boot bugs me. It wasn't in slack 8.1. I just want to know why It comes. It is not uncommented in rc.modules.

In Slack 9 there is a new system called hotplug. You were given the option to enable it when you installed. The hotplug system is seeing the card an attempting to load a module. When the first fails the second is attempted. To prevent the first module from loading and remove the error message, add the module name, 8139cp, to the end of the file, /etc/hotplug/blacklist.
