Boot.ini configuration to run Slackware..???

Hello friends,

I am new to Slackware. I installed Slackware 10.2 on my system on extra ATA 20gb hard disk, because my S-ATA 250Gb hard disk is not detecting by slackware. And I have a problem to booting slackware, every time I have to use boot floppy. I had configured boot.ini by using loadlin.exe but its not working.
REM: I have 2 hard drive and Slackware is installed ATA disk...

[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Norsk)" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Pro(English)" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
c:\linux\loadlin c:\linux\vmlinuz-ide-2.4.31 root=/dev/hda5 ro vga=3

I need your help...thanks a lot

Umm. This site has a nice search facility.... Look at this post http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...99#post1243999 and for an explanation of the dd command at post #7. You don't need loadlin at all, the ntldr can boot linux as a chainloader (like GRUB) .
