Boot floppy for slack 12
New toy for Christmas, a game that runs only on windows - I have that, on a second hard drive not used for months, also has slackware 12 on it.
Problem: I've lost the floppy that booted that drive, and makebootdisk only tells me that slack 12 can't be put on a floppy! So I can boot slackware with install dvd, but not windows. In /etc/lilo.conf I have: boot = /dev/fd0 and at bottom #Windows bootable.... other = /dev/hdb1 label = windows table = /dev/hdb #windows bootable blah blah #Linux ....begins image = /boot/vmlinuz root = /dev/hdb5 label = Linux.smp read-only #Linux blah blah ends Can anyone tell me how to start windows, or even better, make another boot disk? |

Had it booting from a floppy using lilo, there should be a way to do it again.

pkgtool showed the answer - it's one of the choices for installing lilo.
Problem is no more. |
I'm glad you figured it out.
