Bluetooth problems on 14.2 and questions
This is the deal on current I can connect my XBox One controller and it works fine in games. On 14.2 it connects OK but the right joystick which is forwards, backwards and strafe right, strafe left goes crazy. When I try to move it spins the viewpoint all around. It looks fine in the KDE input app.
Also I noticed that the Bluez firmware is depreciated on the Bluze site whats up with that? Is that functionality provided somewhere else or supposed to be? I wonder if I could build Bluze 5.54 on 14.2 and see if that would work. Or install it from current( I know that usually does not end well :study: ) I also noted that Blueman has been updated to version 2.1.2 but that would not seem to be the problem. Any ideas about how to resolve the issues on 14.2. Is bluez-sixaxis what I need. |
Well bluez-sixaxis is for the PS3 controller and makes no difference.
I just tried a wired XBox 360 controller and it works correctly. Not sure if this is a Bluetooth problem or a bug in the joystick driver. The XBox One controller works correctly on current so there has to be a fix somewhere. I guess I'll keep looking around but 14.2 is getting pretty long in the tooth. |

I recently rebuilt bluez too to enable bluetooth pairing for the Dual Shock 3: this needs a couple of configuration flags to enable experimental plugins that, normally, are not built in the official Slackware package. |
That sounds interesting but I would need to learn how to make a Slackwear package so it would show up in pkgtool. :study:
I found another interesting thing called xpandneo that might help. https://atar-axis.github.io/xpadneo/ I am trying to motivate myself to figure out how to build Slackwear packages as in the past I build a lot of stuff from source and ran into the occasional problem with install things that way. |
Oh I see that the build script is included with the source never noticed that before
