BIOS check at bootup
I've noticed this on one of my computers running Slackware 11 using the 2.6.18.2 kernel that, upon bootup, I receive a message stating that the "BIOS data check bypassed". The computer boots normally after this, but I was just curious about this setting. I have noticed this on other computers I have running Slackware, and wondered if this were a LILO setting or something in the computer BIOS. Thanks.

Check quickboot setting at your bios.

I get "BIOS data check passed", but have no idea what this has done or means
