Wow, I just want to say thanks to rworkman for the networkmanager packages he made available with the xfce4.8 packages here: http://connie.slackware.com/~rworkman/xfce-4.8/ It makes life just so much easier with as laptop when having to use multiple wifi and 3g hotspots. Let me know when you ever are in South Africa and I will most definitely get you a few rounds of ale ;) I really wish it becomes part of the next Slackware major release.

rworkman is one of many Slackware contributors that help to provide the best and oldest Gnu/Linux. Without their interactions I'm sure the load for PV would be very heavy.

Thanks for the welcomes, have been running slackware a few days now and really like it a lot. Did some distro hopping prior to settling on slackware and must say it is the best by far.
