Best Distro for Inspiron 8500?
 

Hey all,
I'm convincing a friend to switch to Linux from Windoze. She's running a Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook with the nVidia GeForce4 4200 vid card. What's the best linux distro for her hardware?? Is there a good laptop distro out there?

ps: i don't care if it's not free

Most distributions will work somehow equal since all use the same kernel :)
However, if you want a "easy" (autodetect hard, etc) I would recommend you something like Ubuntu or Firesight.

PD: You should post this in a more general forum, this is dedicated to Slackware, so posting here will likely to get one answer "Slackware" ;)
