[SOLVED] Beginner here with an update question via ISO

Hey all,

I've recently been introduced to Slackware by a colleague of mine and have a question regarding updates which I can not find. I know how to update via web (by uncommenting a mirror) but I'd like to do an update using the most recent ISO file.

How do I go about using the dvd iso to do Slackware updates?

Thanks a lot for reading this. I really enjoy using Slackware and feel I have a lot to learn, even with simple tasks like this.

There are no ISO for Slackware updates, since Slackware only released ISO for a stable release and updates are delivered through mirror sites which can be grabbed using slackpkg using the method you have described before.

Thanks for that. I assumed the ISO file also contained security updates. I'll mark this as solved and update via the mirror site rather than the ISO file.
