Could you ellaborate what is a backup for you ?
A basic secure backup is to copy datas from a whole drive to another drive which has exactly the same
specs (same size, model, manufacturer) and which is put in another place.
Now for daily backups or smaller backup, I suggest you to archive datas, then burn them to cd...
I use these tools for that :
- tar (for archiving, example : tar czvf home.tar.gz /home)
- k3b (for burning)
As you can see they are generic tools that not only work in slackware but in all Linux distributions
