Avidemux not finding black frames

Hi,
I have complied and installed avidemux 2.6.12 and all the dependences using slackbuilds.org.
Opening the same .mpg file I recorded on Windows and Slackware-current.
Windows searches and find the black frames no problems.
Slackware finds nothing, just searches all the way to the EOF.
Tried version 2.6.10 but same.
The Linux version seems much faster to use and encode so I would like to use it but need to be able to search and find the black frames.

Any ideas please?
Michael

I think you can have a better help regarding this specific issue on the avidemux forum.

the only (maybe) related thing I found is this (seeking to bf) but I have no idea if it still applies: you are better off asking there.
