automounting my Benq DC1300 digital camera

Hi!
I have this Benq DC1300 camera which is automatically mounted in my OpenSuSE installation. As soon as I connect the camera under KDE, a konqueror window opens up showing all the pictures that are stored in the camera.
I want to have the same functionality in my Slackware 10.1 (2.6.10 kernel) installation as well, but have no idea as to how to go about doing it. Any suggestions?

p. s. -
The camera is detected as is evident from the output of /sbin/lsusb -

you must enable automount on your slack and you need to add "rc.autofs" in "rc.d" then you must edit "rc.m" to load everytime your slackware on......
and make auto.misc and auto.master in your /etc then configure it and the final step is to make link to your /mnt

Thank u for the prompt reply, however there are a few issues -
The first and the foremost is that you are addressing a perfect newbie :-)
The others -
(1) I think automount is enabled. (How do I make sure?)
(2) /etc/rc.d/rc.autofs exists
(3) rc.m doesn't exist
(4) Here is the file /etc/auto.master -
# /etc/auto.master
#
/mnt/rd /etc/auto.rd --timeout=3
(5) /etc/auto.rd reads -
# /etc/auto.rd
#
floppy -fstype=vfat,sync,user,umask=002,gid=users :/dev/fd0
cdrom -fstype=iso9660,ro :/dev/hdb
(6) /etc/auto.misc doesn't exist

Eagerly awaiting your reply,

auto.rd? why not use auto.misc? and rc.m should be in rc.d because to make sure that rc.autofs load everytime.
add this to your rc.m :

# Start the automount daemon:
if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.autofs ]; then
. /etc/rc.d/rc.autofs start
fi

or maybe you can add it to rc.local but I'm not sure because I'm not an expert ( I'm sorry)

you can read about automounting at this http://www.chessgriffin.com/journal/...-usb-jumpdrive

that's works fine with me....

hope that work.....
good luck
