automounting external usb sata hd

Hi, I cannot mount automatically my external sata usb hard drive.
my fsab is:

/dev/sda1 /media/multimedia vfat user,rw 0 0
/dev/sda2 /media/mp3 vfat user,rw 0 0
/dev/sda3 /media/arch ext3 user,rw 0 0

When I boot the box I can see the errors:

/dev/sda1 - not a valid block device
sda2, sda3 - the same errors

When I start X and open Konqueror i can click on their
icons to mount them (or from CLI - mount ....). That's ok, but I'd like them to be mounted automatically when I boot the computer
What do I need to do?

I think all you need is an addition of "auto" right before user,rw etc on all three lines to mount them auto magiacally. As far as the errors are concerned, I see that when I have entered wrong file system types or there actually isnt a device there.
Hope that helps some.
