automount cdrom timeout...
Hi,
I recently got pissed off constantly mounting and unmounting cds and decided to start using automount....I configure it after reading the automount mini-HOWTO. The mounting part seems to be working OK, but it doesn't seem to honor the timeout that I have specified in the /etc/auto.master file, and only unmounts the cd after 5 minutes (the default timeout)...Has any one else experienced this problem ? I have also come across what seems to be a small bug in the parsing of the auto.master file as shown below : /misc /etc/auto.misc ---timeout=10 Notice the three hyphens(-) b4 the 'timeout' keyword.... If I specify two hyphens, then I get a message in syslog - unknown keyword -timeout, this disappeared when I added the third hyphen. -- shreev |
Anyone ?? Does no one use automount/autofs ??
