automatic power off on slack 10.2

Hi, i'm using slackware 10.2, 2.4.31 kernel, the shutdown works fine but i hav to maually switch off by pressing the power button after the shutdown procedure shows the "Power down" message, how can i make it to switch off automatically, earlier i hav used windows & fedora 3 where there was no need to press the power button.

Load the APM module with "modprobe apm" (as root). You'll want this module automatically loaded on boot, so edit /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and uncomment (i.e. remove the #) the line that says "/sbin/modprobe apm". It's near the top of the file, so you should be able to find it quite easily.
