Audio signals too short in K3B

Hi there,

I just noticed, that the fanfare that signals a successfully finished burn process in K3B is interrupted after the first three tones. How can I get back the fanfare in full length?

I am on Slackware64-current with all updates up to 2nd May, 2010.

Thanks in advance

This happens on kmail as well, and seems to be only when wav files are being used for notifications. You can either use ogg files or alternatively through systemsettings change the audio backend support from Xine to Gstreamer support. Trouble is this causes other problems. Personally, I have converted those notification wav files to oggs, and then it all works as expected, but this is in my mind a hack rather than a resolution.

Thanks, this is interesting.
I wonder, if it is a KDE bug or something Slackware related...
