Audigy 2 NX + Slackware??
Hey people
I'm thinking of buying a Creative Audigy 2 NX external USB sound card and am wondering if it will work well with Linux.
I did a search here on LQ and lots of people have had problems with garbled output. Is this caused be playing at 44.1 kHz instead of 48 kHz?
Is this easily resolved by editing my .asoundrc file?
Does this card work well with the alsa usb-audio driver?
I will only be using stereo (not fancy surround sound or anything).
I'm wondering if I will be able to simultaneously play from a stereo source through the optical S/PDIF input and record (but not play) from an analog line-in?
Does this card work with Slackware and what are your experiences?
Is the sound quality great (like I read in all the reviews) when set up properly in Linux??
I'm willing to spend a lot of time setting it up.
Cheers
Forrest
