Apache in Slackware 10.1

Has anyone upgarded to Apache2 on their Slack machine? I noticed mine came with an older version of Apache 1.3 and would like 2.0 installed on my machine. I checked out:
but am not sure how exactly to do the upgrade. Has anyone done this on their Slack machine and I was wondering how difficult it was.

Also, I am unable to find the way I can stop | start | restart the httpd server using CLI. Before I was able to go straight as root and type:

#service httpd start | stop | restart

Thanks for any assistance...

My server is running Slack 10.1, with Apache 2, MySQL, PHP, and Sendmail compiled from source. I was even able to use the Slack Apache start/stop script, but I needed to create a symlink first:

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 32 2005-05-30 19:35 /usr/sbin/apachectl -> /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl*

I am not sure why this is not working now...I get this error:

root@slackbox:/mnt/cdrom# sh /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd start
[Mon Jun 13 09:55:07 2005] [alert] httpd: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using for ServerName
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
