i run mdk 9.1 and this is my question:

my servers name is:

elena.albertos.gr at: 10.0.0.1
so in my /etc/hosts is: 10.0.0.1 elena|albertos|gr elena

my named seems ok.

but... i have 3 alias... www|albertos|gr --> elena|albertos|gr
ftp|albertos|gr--> elena|albertos|gr

there is the prob now. when i give apache elena|albertos|gr, all is ok, but when i give www|albertos|gr i get not found (404).

further more, when i set a vhost (eg. cem|albertos|gr --> 10.0.0.1 and in Vhosts.conf is:

<VirtualHost *>
ServerName cem|albertos|gr
DocumentRoot /home/cem
<Directory /home/cem>
Allow From All
</Directory>
</VirtualHost> )

nothing is working... i get (exept 404 for www|albertos|gr), forbiden 403 for elena|albertos|gr and 403 for cem|albertos|gr

pls if anyone can help me out here... i'm cinda stuck... my brain is totaly f**** upped.

PS. all . in names are replaced with |, since forum doesnt let me post urls (!!! :-| )

I believe you will need a public_html/ in /home/cem and /home/elena where you will serve web pages from.
