After years of flawless service of my Redhat9 server, I decided to upgrade with Slack 12.2.( I could go on why I Slack)
New 12.2 install with original packages.
I had Apache running fine. Tested, and all is well...
I moved on to Mysql... All is good, it works. Starts at reboot.
Then I notice Apache stopped starting.
To test httpd.conf and httpd-vhosts.conf edits, I would use
Code:
/usr/sbin/apachectl restart|start
Now it won't start with this command.
no result(s) for
Code:
ps -A | grep apache
Stopped Mysql, and tried to start apache, and still nothing.
Anyone have/had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks All!
Edit:
checked error.log
Code:
(EAI 2)Name or service not known: mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of "myhostname"
Configuration Failed
Edit #2
Hmm not sure why apache stopped in the first place. It worked earlier.
Edited /etc/hosts.
from
Code:
192.168.1.5hostname.com
to
Code:
192.168.1.5hostname
I'm assuming that I changed this(previous day) and mmaybe a reboot took affect and killed it?
it works
Everyone can quit searching now. Thanks
