Anyone got S-Video out to work > Laptop >

Has anyone managed to get their S-Video out to work on Intel graphics based laptop?I have a 855GM in this and as far as i know the video out does not work in Linux (although i have only tried using the >function> keys on the keyboard.
Just wondering if anyone knows whether it is/isnt supported by the Intel driver? And/or how to activate it.
I didnt mind so much untill i wanted to watch a video on my TV last night =)

The driver in X/kernel works fine. You may have to get the latest kernel from www.kernel.org. In mine, as long as DRI is working, my s-video does too, with the function keys....(Link for dri in my sig)

cwwilson with the goods again :)

I was running 2.6.15 and i dont recall it working (i may not have tried though).
Have just re-installed 2.4.29 > Slackware-10.1. I was going to build 2.6.15 this weekend from last saved .config ... ill give it another test then...
Thanks!

I think mine was working w/2.6.15, but after a kernel recompile...

You have to make sure the 855/i915/i810/what4ever the heck they call it module is made though....(I use the i810/i830 one...i910 is for DRM/DRI/X 3D acceleration)

I like the Intel chipsets (cheap, not too slow), but I wish they would come out with a unified driver like Nvidia...
