I did the same as frankbell...I downloaded the tarball, extracted it, clicked on the bin file and it started right up (my setup is a multi-lib setup on 14.2).

Nice broswer in the 15 minutes I used to check it out. Starts up seemingly twice as fast as Firefox and Seamonkey and according to ksysguard it uses half the RAM. Don't like the bookmarks setup though, so will have to wait until that's reconfigured (I like the good ol' 'pull down' menu. Can't figure out how to use imported bookmarks on this browser).

I'm using slackware 64 14.2
Installtgz brave-browser-0.68.142-x86_64-1_SBo.tgz
works on http: //slackbuilds.org
not on https: //yahoo.com
I'm trying to get or update Mozilla.
browsers Chrome , Brave-Browser work except https part.
Is there a library 's that I'm missing .

[QUOTE=frankbell;5590524]I was unable to duplicate this problem.

I just ran

Code:
wget -O brave.tar.bz2 https://laptop-updates.brave.com/latest/linux64
Then I decompressed the file, I cd'ed into the directory that decompressing the file created, and I was able to run Brave

Code:
./brave
and hit a website.

Archive manager unable to open file brave.tar.bz2.

Probably because frankbell posted that in 2016, and the download link for Brave has since changed?
