Any Interest in a SlackBuild for The Generic Mapping Tools

I'm wondering if there is any interest in a SlackBuild for The Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) (see http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu). If so, I will prepare a SlackBuild for GMT and its required library, netCDF (see http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf).

From the GMT web page,
Quote:

The Generic Mapping Tools, GMT, is an open source collection of ~60 tools for manipulating geographic and Cartesian data sets (including filtering, trend fitting, gridding, projecting, etc.) and producing Encapsulated PostScript File (EPS) illustrations ranging from simple x-y plots via contour maps to artificially illuminated surfaces and 3-D perspective views. GMT supports ~30 map projections and transformations and comes with support data such as GSHHS coastlines, rivers, and political boundaries. GMT is developed and maintained by Paul Wessel and Walter H. F. Smith with help from a global set of volunteers, and is supported by the National Science Foundation. It is released under the GNU General Public License.
And, from the netCDF web page,
Quote:

NetCDF (network Common Data Form) is a set of software libraries and machine-independent data formats that support the creation, access, and sharing of array-oriented scientific data.
There are a set of examples at the GMT web page that show some of the capabilities of this application.

Yes. I'm very interested. I'm (among other things) a GIS manager for a regional planning commission here in Pennsylvania, so I'm always on the lookout for more mapping tools.

I've built and used QGIS pretty extensively. I've even written about it for Linux.com and I've got another article on QGIS due to be published this year in another Linux magazine.

In short, I'm very interested in FOSS mapping tools. :D

The handbrake dvd ripper isn't in slackbuilds. I'm not pirating dvd's just want to make copies for the kids to scratch up and keep the originals safe.
