Any chance of upgrading cmake in 14.2?

I guess this is aimed primarily at Pat, but is there any possibility of seeing an upgrade to cmake in 14.2? I was able to build as new as 3.14.7 on a fresh 14.2 install, but I am wondering if that would break any existing packages.

More than likely it would break some existing builds.

One of my major concerns, especially with llvm/clang. Thanks for the reply.

I just want to point out that programs that require newer cmake versions often can be made to work with 3.5.2 without much effort, many times the minimum required version specified by the program is actually the lowest version the developer tested rather than the lowest version that works.

Do you have any specific programs that do not build on 14.2 because of the older cmake version?

Gnucash 3.8 was just released, and initially there was a problem with building with cmake 3.5.x, but after a brief exchange of messages with the devs through bugzilla, that issue was resolved.
