Where the hell is the Arch option?

(sorry Slackers)

EDIT: They don't have Slackware as an option because they used the "Top 10" list from distrowatch.com -- Arch is number 7!

Slackers & true Linux users have no need for Distrowatch.
Distrowatch is for people looking for Lindows distros.

I looked at the poll. I didn't vote but I commented for Slackware!

IMHO, kind of ignorant thinking... If you don't know whats going on out there then you only program/develop for failure. Distrowatch shows whats being pushed as current to an audience that has vast and varied needs. Making a distro for others means that you need to know what your customers/users want and/or need. Kind of like sticking your head in the sand and trying to comment on the current environment. You can't... but that's just an opinion...

I look at Distrowatch, sometimes try a distro I see in VBox. Recently ran Q4OS, which is Debian "Wheezy" with the Trinity (KDE 3.5) desktop.
There's something fishy about the latest comments on that poll. I think someone's been a bit naughty.

Heheh Yeah I do the same. I chew up a lot of disk space trying out things... but my laptop and desktop at home are Slackware

Come to think of it... They probably did right not to include Slackware on that poll.
I don't want "The Finest Linux Anywhere" seen on a list including "Mint", "Ubuntu" or what have you...
It's like having Einstein in a beauty contest.

Huh .. their poll last year also did not include Slackware:

https://opensource.com/node/15118

Several users left comments suggesting Slackware then, too, but their cries seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

Of course their poll last year and the year before too, did not include Slackware. It not deaf ears, it just how they choose to based the poll. Slackware has not been in the top ten for awhile now. Page Hit Ranking is nice but not really worth much in my opinion. It has been awhile since my last visit to DistroWatch. Slackware was 13 if I remember correctly, now it's at 32. Not of lot of folks looking it seems, no big deal.

I have it on one of my laptops booting from GRUB (quad-boot with Windows 10, Debian jessie & Arch) -- it is disappointingly slow...

I have figured out why Slackware wasn't in the poll.
The site is supported by RedHat!
That only makes the systemd & Pottering bashing comments even funnier!

Huh .. you're right. At the bottom of their "About" page:

Also, whois shows Red Hat is the registering organization:
