Question amarok + xine-lib 1.13 not playing WMA's

I've just notice that on my Slack 11.0 install for some reason amarok 1.4.3 and the slackware xine-lib 1.1.3 won't play wma files. It gives me this error message:

Code:
Error Loading Media
No suitable demux plugin. This often means that the file format is not supported.
The Dropline xine-lib 1.1.3 package also seems to the same issue with my wma's

If I uninstall xine-lib 1.1.3 and install 1.1.2 then the wma's play fine.

If I play the files in gmplayer I get
Code:
Fatal Error
No data chuck following header!
but gmplayer plays them.

I was/am using the official Slackware 11.0 packages for xine-lib and the mplayer-codecs-essential package from LinuxPackages.

Has anyone else noticed a similar problem? Or is it just my wma's (which were created in Windows Media Player 9 under XP)?

EDIT: I suspect this has something to do with the fix for the buffer overflow in earlier versions of libxine.

I've encountered some other problems with 1.1.3 since updating as well. For instance, some Ogg Flac changes to xine-lib seem to break general Ogg Vorbis support. I wrote a patch and will be uploading an updated package soon.

If you could provide a link to a problematic WMV file, I will use it to test and see if I can come up with a fix for that as well (for Dropline users).

Thanks. The affected files are WMA's not WMV's, from a Warren Zevon CD I ripped a while ago under windows. I may be able to upload one somewhere for you to check.

EDIT: Slight problem, they are largish files, the smallest is larger than the upload limit on the web space I have access to at the moment

Update: I've copied across a couple of other WMA's from my windows partition, they play fine. It appears that whatever the problem is, it is specific to that batch of WMA's.
