Amarok 2.2

I just installed Amarok 2.2 on 13.0 and the new taglib packages. Unfortunately, the middle panel doesn't display anything and clicking on the Add Applet button only brings up a red X and green arrow. The X does nothing and the arrow causes Amarok to crash.

Anyone had more luck than me?

Are you using -current? I am staying with -stable and have installed vbatts' KDE 4.3.1 - along with the required taglib, liblastm and loudmouth, I have compiled Amarok 2.2 from source using the slackbuild from Slackware 13. I did have to run the mysql-embedded to get the library for mysql support in Amarok but everything is working great. I use Amarok for LastFM as much as anything else so I wanted the support for that to continue but you don't have to add the library for it if you don't need it. BTW the collection update is lightning fast with the mysql backend. I am very impressed. Now if they can get podcast to device worked out, I'll be in heaven.

No matter how incantation I tried... all failed miserably to pass ASF and MP4 flags to taglib.

In the end I forced a patch to CMakeLists.txt before the build started:

OPTION(WITH_ASF "Enable ASF tag reading/writing code" OFF)
OPTION(WITH_MP4 "Enable MP4 tag reading/writing code" OFF)

to

OPTION(WITH_ASF "Enable ASF tag reading/writing code" ON)
OPTION(WITH_MP4 "Enable MP4 tag reading/writing code" ON)

Perhaps it is not related... Just a share.
