Amarok 1.4.6

I probably foolishly upgraded Amarok to 1.4.6 yesterday (using the package from Linux Packages). Now it won't load with the following error:

cr@radio2:~$ amarok %U
[1] 14959
cr@radio2:~$ Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
amarokapp: symbol lookup error: /opt/kde/lib/libamarok.so.0: undefined symbol: _ZN9KLineEdit17mouseReleaseEventEP11QMouseEvent

I then tried removepkg/installpkg to go back to 1.4.2 which I was running before and that won't run either - no errors shown, but it just flashes the Amarok logo and stops. I presume that I have all the dependencies met as it was working quite fine before.

Would much appreciate some help as I am lost without my music!

Get amarok-1.4-6 from slacky.eu. I would recommend you to build the package yourself using the slackbuild script they provide. Just download all the files from the "src" directory to some directory on your system, make the amarok.Slackbuild file executable and then run the script as root.

amarok 1.4.6 is also available on -Current
you can use the SlackBuild script from Pat and customize it to suit your system (since -Current has different directory structures from previous version)
