alsactl and v4lctl
i am having a few problems...
i configure all the volumes with alsamixer and then run alsactl store, but when reboot the same default volumes are there...i got to up em again.
same with v4lconf
in my case i run v4lctl -a 0xD0000000 to get the xawtv running properly (find the framebufer adress). after that v4lctl, wont work/or i dont know how to run the proper commands.
i think i have permissions, as i have my username as part as audio and video groups...
P.S.: audio is only noise...i got to rmmod bttv and then modprobe bttv again to get the sound well. dont know what to do..to turn all these things automatic at boot time
thanks

Regarding bttv, you can try adding that to /etc/hotplug/blacklist and then loading it with rc.modules.
And the sound mixer settings, if you're using KDE, it loads it's own volume settings which you can change using KMix or set arts to not load them and use whatever alsa has.

Actually, rc.modules gets executed before rc.M (which loads hotplug) so it would produce the same effect, try blacklisting it in hotplug and load the module in rc.local which is executed at last.
