ALSA errors

I tried to install ALSA.. ... but whenever I boot up the computer I get a load of insmod errors... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I followed everything on the ALSA site, read the stuff, etc etc..

Now sound doesn't work.. and I'm at a loss of things to do.

Can someone help me?

You know what? ALSA hates me.

I'm going to back some sources up and then reinstall slackware. :P

Can someone guide me through from there on in how to do it right?

-- It's not high priority.

I can get sound working okay'ish w/o it, but I was hoping for better support for drivers etc.

( I have a via82xx card... )

You probably need to add the kernel modules to the /etc/hotplug/blacklist to stop the kernel modules from loading. Then load your ALSA drivers.
