Alsa driver problems in 2.6.9
Hey guys, I have an interesting problem. I just finished upgrading my kernel to 2.6.9, and I am having trouble with the sound. Pretty much, I am getting sound only from my onboard AC'97 card. Some of the sound modules do not load at startup. Some of the emu10k1 drivers do load, but there are some conflicts with the others.
The errors I get at the inital load include:
Module snd_pcm_oss not found
Module snd_mixer_oss not found
ALSA Warning: No mixer settings found in /etc/asound.state. Use 'alsactl store' to save teh default ALSA mixer settings to be loaded at boot (do not know how to do that)
The interesting part about this is that I have a soundblaster audigy in my system and that doesn't work, but my onboard does. I wonder if maybe I need to load some modules or change some settings, but I have no idea where to start.
Forgive me, I am a complete Linux n00by.
Thanks for your help guys.
