Question alsa and udev-078 alsactl:load state No soundcards found...

Hi.
I need udev>=078. No problems with upgrading. Everythink works well except alsa...
When I try to restore my alsa settings with alsactl restore, I've "alsactl:load state:1236 No soundcards found". I found that I haven't sound devices into /dev . When I restore to older udev-064... my problems disappear.
I've all modules loaded when I check it by lsmod.
I use slackware-current with kernel 2.6.15.4.

You need to edit the startup scripts to use the very new versions of udev (IIRC, various things have to be moved around).

(Do you really need >= 078 though? 2.6.15 only needs >= 071, which doesn't break the startup scripts, unless of course you have some other application that wants a newer version).

See Piter Punk's packages - http://piterpunk.info02.com.br/extra/

I received the post from Patrick:

You could try running udevstart again by hand. That's been known to work
around such problems in the past.
He has right: after udevstart I had devices of Alsa.I returned to udev-071 It runs correctly.
Thanks for all.

Did you run alsaconf? I ran that and it setup my sound card. Then lsmod started showing up my soundcard like it should be.

I got packages from Peter's page
Reason...the newest hal-0.5.7 .
I hadn't any problems to install it.
Finally, I can automount my USB-stick without ivman under dbus-0.6.0+hal-0.5.7+pmount-0.9.7+KDE-3.5.1.

Now, I'm looking for the way, how to automount my dvd with rights to normal user. I think, it's into the storage policy of hal-0.5.7, but ... everytime when I put my DVD into recorder, it's root.root ...what a hell....
