The binary/OEM drivers from Nvidia and AMD have this feature, but AMD's offerings only support handfuls of their cards and most of the drivers only support various xorg-server releases.
To be frankly honest, it's actually still better to dual-boot Windows 7 for gaming purposes.

Yeah I found that package before when I was messing with running games natively but haven't spent a tremendous amount of time dicking with it, now that I know that's the correct way to fix this though I'll see if I can make something happen, especially since there's already a SlackBuild.
I'm not super concerned about 100% support of all videogames instantly otherwise I would be dual booting, I just have a few, mostly older, games that I'd like to finish. Especially since I'll be upgrading to a newer card within the year, this was just what I had. If I were after plug-n-play instant gratification I wouldn't be interested in Slackware at all, would I? Half the fun is getting the shit to work at all : )
