I disagree with those that recommend Slackware is for a particular type of users. Anyone who needs cronjobs to remind him/her of the due medication can use Slackware :-)
Thank you.
This made me laugh out loud.
I'll be 42 in a few weeks.

I'll be 22 next month. I've been using slackware since I was 16 or 17 though.
Funny, really. I originally tried it because people kept talking about how difficult it was, and I wanted to see for myself. Never expected I would love it so much it became my primary linux distribution for years to come.
Started using Slackware when I was 16 haven't used it for a few years (always enjoyed Debian). Think I might try using it again soon after reading this thread. Am 23 atm
Distribution: Slackware64 15.0 (started with 13.37). Testing -current in a spare partition.

There is more, I still have my father's typewriter, and I use it just to exercise the fingers.

Very cool stuff
"gimme a beige PC, green text, black screen" well my pc is beige, ATX tower.
And sometimes I do use green font with black bg, just for fun.
"and 64 kB of memory (thats plenty!)" I still have my DGT-100, a TRS clone, with 64kB(or 48, don't remember exactly) http://old-computers.com/museum/comp...sp?st=1&c=1174
It has assembly and basic, I can do some stuff in basic but assembly is too much
advanced for me (well if I started learning assembly in 1983, today maybe I could be the Assembly Master)
