I'll be 26 this year. I always thought I was on the younger side of Slackware users.

Thank you.
This made me laugh out loud.

I'll be 42 in a few weeks.

I'll be 22 next month. I've been using slackware since I was 16 or 17 though.

Funny, really. I originally tried it because people kept talking about how difficult it was, and I wanted to see for myself. Never expected I would love it so much it became my primary linux distribution for years to come.

Im 21.

I discovered Slackware when I had to set an Nagios server up during an internship.

The sysadmin was a Slacker since near to the beginning of the distro.

The server was built with the 13.37 version and I now run -Current on my personal laptop.

I've always been attracted by KISS distro such as Slackware

I've had trouble understanding the words several times but luckily there are lyrics in the description.

I still keep a slide rule in my desk drawer and brief case.

But some days I can't quite remember how to use it to convert from metric to binary...

There is more, I still have my father's typewriter, and I use it just to exercise the fingers.

Very cool stuff
"gimme a beige PC, green text, black screen" well my pc is beige, ATX tower.
And sometimes I do use green font with black bg, just for fun.
"and 64 kB of memory (thats plenty!)" I still have my DGT-100, a TRS clone, with 64kB(or 48, don't remember exactly)

It has assembly and basic, I can do some stuff in basic but assembly is too much
advanced for me (well if I started learning assembly in 1983, today maybe I could be the Assembly Master)

Is it a Smith Corona with a hard case and a black/red cloth ribbon?
