After updating to Alien's Kde 4.7, slackpgk install-new shows old packages...

Hello guys,

After updating to Alien's Kde 4.7, slackpgk install-new shows old packages from KDe 4.5. I am using slackware current.

What can I do so that slackpkg recognises the Alien Bob packages?

thnx in advance

hoping to have understood your question, here, I added this section to /etc/slackpkg/blacklist
Code:
# alien's kde
PyQt
QScintilla
akonadi
attica
ebook-tools
hunspell
k3b
kaudiocreator
kde-l10n-it
kdeaccessibility
kdeadmin
kdeartwork
kdebase
kdebase-runtime
kdebase-workspace
kdebindings
kdeedu
kdegames
kdegraphics
kdelibs
kdemultimedia
kdenetwork
kdepim
kdepim-runtime
kdepimlibs
kdeplasma-addons
kdesdk
kdetoys
kdeutils
kdevelop
kdevplatform
kdewebdev
konq-plugins
libdbusmenu-qt
oxygen-icons
polkit-qt-1
skanlite
sip
soprano
system-config-printer
virtuoso-ose
shared-desktop-ontologies
phonon
slackpkg install-new shouldn't show anything from the kde in slackware, but slackpkg upgrade-all will if you don't blacklist them.

Blacklist the files.
To get a list of files to blacklist:
cd to directory containing the packages
Code:
ls -1 *.t?z | rev | cut -d- -f4- | rev
idem for the deps
copy/paste to /etc/slackpkg/blacklist

Kind regards

Thank you guys. This is what I needed. Just blacklist the packages that were upgraded from Alien's repository.

You don't need a long list. Put this in /etc/slackpkg/blacklist:
Code:
[0-9]+alien
I found this out a while ago in this thread.
