After -current upgrade, fluxbox windows grow an "ear"
I am running slack -current, up-to-date as of 15 Jun. I just restarted fluxbox after its upgrade, and now all my windows have an "ear", a tab sticking up out of the top left-hand corner, with the window's name in it. Each window's title bar also still shows the window's name (which is what I am used to and what I want).
How can I get rid of these "ears"? Did something change in the fluxbox styles with the upgrade?

This is just a quick reply but isn't that the tabs function of Fluxbox? I haven't got Flux installed right now but isn't it "tabs off" in flux config?

From the changelog:
* Use external tabs by default (Simon)
- they provide a unique look to fluxbox
- backwards compatible with 0.1.14 ("stable")
- new users will wonder what they are

You can turn off tabs from the menu:
fluxbox menu -> Configure -> Tab Options -> Tabs in Titlebar
I just upgraded and it looks quite nice.

As soon as I saw the tabs, I checked the changelog. (Yeah, I know I should read it *first*, but ...) This is all I saw there:
xap/fluxbox-1.0rc-i486-1.tgz: Upgraded to fluxbox-1.0rc.
I considered using --prefix=/usr here since X.Org will be moving from
/usr/X11R6 to /usr when Slackware absorbs the modular release, but I
think it will be best to wait and make those changes all at once.
This, BTW, will be sometime after the 11.0 release. This current to
stable cycle has already taken too much time (10.2 is in need of
replacement), and introducing changes that might break things at this
point would be foolhardy. Although there's still quite a bit in the
TODO queue here I'm making my steps carefully as -current is very
stable, and I think it should ship as a stable 11.0 soon so that we can
get back to the business of breaking things in -current. :-)
elyk, thanks for the tip. That did it. I had looked through the configure menu and .fluxbox/init and the styles folder, but somehow I missed that option.
What changelog did you get your quote from? Current? 10.2?

@ hussar
I would guess that elyk is referring to the Fluxbox changelog.
