??? I am dealing with one person with 2 accounts, or 2 people with 1 account each? If it's the former, don't do that. Please contact the site administrator for assistance (meaning jeremy).
In any event, it looks like you've got both an onboard LAN as well as a D-Link NIC, so I'll make the following assumptions:
* you intend to ignore the onboard LAN and use the NIC
* your cable is plugged into the NIC
* the module your NIC needs is 8139too (which does appear in the results of lsmod)
If so, then my initial guess would appear to be a dead end. Instead, the next thing I'd try would be to bounce eth0
Code:
ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth0 up
ifconfig
What you want to see at the end of this exercise is an IP address assigned to eth0. (Currently it is missing one.) The 3 steps I listed will bring eth0 down and back up again, and then will redisplay the results. As mentioned, if it succeeds you'll see an IP address associated with eth0 and you should be able to surf without trouble. Finally,
this guide contains info that I believe applies to your NIC, and may be helpful if things still aren't working.
Alternatively, or if what I've described does not correctly describe how you've got things set up, then you could try plugging in your cable to the onboard LAN, and seeing if that makes a difference. If you still have problems, post back, but please be sure to include a lot more details about your machine, how it is set up, what steps you took, what the system responses were to those steps, etc. The more info you can supply, the more effective and useful responses you will receive. Good luck with it -- J.W.
