The hardest part is adding new menus.

1. In a file manager window, access the location where you want to add the menu. For example, to add a menu to the 'Applications' menu, choose 'Go' -> 'Start Here', then double click on the 'Applications' object to open it.

2. Choose 'File' -> 'New Folder'. An untitled folder is added to the view pane. The name of the folder should already be selected so you can rename it.

3. Type a name for the folder, then press the Return key to set the name.

Log out of Gnome and then log in again to impliment the change.

To add a new launcher to a menu, you start by right-clicking on the menu you want to add it to. Go down to where it says 'Entire Menu' and select 'Add new item to this menu'.

This will open up a 'Create Launcher' dialog for you. Fill in the blanks, selct an icon if you want one, click 'OK' and you're done.
