Acroread not printing

I have always used acroread for printing pdfs

Now I find that I cannot print from it. It doesn't seem to be seeing my printers at all. Under printer name it has 'custom'. It seems something is broken. If I has to guess I would say it was something to do with mutlilib and a recent upgrade but I have no idea what.

TIA

I have had that issue a while back but can't quite remember how I fixed it. I have just checked on my system (-current/multilib) and the printers do appear in the drop down menu.

Have you tried deleting (or renaming) the .adobe/Acrobat folder? Sometimes things get corrupted in there.

Do you have a default printer declared in cups.
This seems to be the case.
If there is not a default printer on the system then acroread does not query the printers at all.
Just set one of the printers as system default.
I hope this helps...

Actually it does print but the printer isn't shown in the print dialog so impossible to get any control over the process.
