ACPI Slackware 11 sata.i

Hello Friends

OK I am using the default kernel (sata.i), but the command "halt" does not turn off my computer. I know that I need the ACPI from the kernel, but it is necessary that I recompile the kernel?. What cautions I should take? I tried this before but I lost my Sound Card modules.

Thanks to you.

The easiest way is to use the apm module. In the file /etc/rc.d/rc.modules, you will see this line:

/sbin/modprobe apm

If you uncomment that, your computer will power off.

You can also try 'halt -p' or even better 'shutdown -h now'.

OK Very well, this function to my, but altered My USB keyboard and mouse, both devices shutdown unexpectedly and I need to unplug and plug again for a few time until again shutdown. I commented Again the /sbin/modprobe/apm line, and already does not have this trouble, but WITHOUT ACPI. Thanks

In config file /etc/acpi/events/default
Code:
event=button power.*
action=/sbin/init 0
